• You can use any licensed veterinarian in the United States and while traveling in Canada.
• You can buy dog insurance for pets from 8 weeks of age up to 8 years of age.  Once your dog is enrolled, coverage is for life!
• Pet insurance works on a reimbursement basis.  You submit your claims to us, where they will be processed in 7-10 business days and for payable claims a reimbursement check issued.
  

What does Best Friends dog insurance cover?

Our dog insurance plan offers coverage for the diagnosis and treatment of all accidents and all illnesses, including hereditary conditions. This can include, but is not limited to:

• CAT scans
• MRIs
• Blood work
• Surgeries
• Hospitalization
• Prescription medication

What about stuff that Best Friends dog insurance doesn't cover?

Best Friends dog insurance does not cover pre-existing conditions (things that your pet was diagnosed with, or showing symptoms of before enrollment or during the 14 day illness waiting period), or routine & preventative care such as dental cleaning and vaccinations.
